Holmes's D&D excerpt: ring of wishes

Ring of Three Wishes: "Greedy characters will typically ask for more wishes. The Dungeon Master should put that character in an endless closed time loop, moving him back to the time he first obtained the ring."

You could just say no, but isn't it more fun to put a character in an endless closed time loop?
